Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

This FAQ is designed for educators and school administrators using EasyConvo.

Getting Started

Can teachers self-sign up for EasyConvo?

Yes. Teachers who want to test the platform can self-sign up and enroll up to 10 students. This is ideal for small pilots or trial use.

What if my school wants to roll out EasyConvo to many classes?

For institutional or mass rollout, please contact the EasyConvo team directly at guhanavel@easyconvo.ai. We will help set up your school account and support onboarding.

Can students self-sign up?

No. Students cannot self-sign up. They must be enrolled into a class by their teacher via:

  • QR code sign-up
  • Email link invitation

If these methods are not used, contact the EasyConvo team who will assist you in creating accounts for the students.

Courses & Classes

What's the difference between a course and a class?

A course defines the curriculum (chapters and lessons). A class is the actual group of students assigned to take that course.

Can multiple teachers manage a course?

Yes. You can invite other educators as course admins. Only users with an existing EasyConvo account can be added.

What permissions do invited admins have?

✅ What invited admins CAN do:

  • View the course content
  • Create new classes under the course
  • Add other admins to the course

❌ What invited admins CANNOT do:

  • Edit course details or content
  • Delete the course
  • Change course settings (unless you transfer ownership)
What happens if I transfer my editor rights?

Once you transfer your editor rights to another teacher:

  • ✅ You will still be able to create classes, add new admins, and delete the course.
  • ❌ You will not be able to edit the course content until the current editor transfers the rights back to you.

Practice Rooms & Pedagogy

How do the Echo, Node, and Wisp rooms support language learning?
  • Echo – Pronunciation and recall through repetition.
  • Node – Structured Q&A with AI rubric-based feedback.
  • Wisp – Open-ended conversations for adaptability.

This scaffolding allows you to move students from controlled practice → guided responses → real-world conversations.

Data Privacy & AI

Is student data safe?

Yes. Student data is securely stored and is not used to train AI models. Data is only processed for evaluation inside the platform.

Who can access student recordings?

Only the assigned teacher/admin. Other students cannot see or hear each other's submissions.

How accurate is the AI evaluation?

We carefully selected the best AI model available and fine-tuned it specifically for language learning.

The system is designed to reliably detect speaking related errors and provide tools to help students get targeted, actionable feedback.

  • Like any AI, it may occasionally make mistakes or misinterpret a response.
  • ✅ The purpose is not to be perfect, but to increase practice opportunities and built confidence with consistent feedback.
  • 💡 Encourage students: If the AI misevaluates, try again and do feedback to the EasyConvo team.

Technical & Operational

What if the system is slow when creating many chapters at once?

We recommend creating 1–2 chapters at a time. Bulk creation may overload the server and risk losing progress.

What happens if I set a chapter to 'Immediate Release'?

It will publish instantly, and you will no longer be able to edit it. Use scheduled release dates if you want flexibility.

What should I do if students face audio or feedback issues?

Common fixes:

  • Ensure microphone access is enabled in the browser.
  • Ask students to retry in a quieter setting.
  • If issues persist, contact EasyConvo support.
